MAE is a smartphone sensing application developed for research conducted by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. It’s primary purpose is the collection of real-world behavioral data about users’ physical and mental well-being.
MAE collects information about your daily routine and behaviors through the sensors in your smartphone, through data that you may share through the Health app, and through brief mobile surveys. This information can then be used to infer physical activity patterns, sleep habits, and mood associated with your daily routine as a physician.
The app is not used to diagnose or treat any medical condition. Users must be enrolled in an active research study in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine to access and use this application.
